Before
you come Tow vehicle requirements 1)
You must have a proper hitch Your tow vehicle must be equipped with a class 2 or a class 3 hitch, capable of handling a 350# tongue weight and a 2" ball at approximately 16"-18” off the ground, when the vehicle is sitting level. Bumper hitches on pick up trucks are usually acceptable if the bumper is rated at 350 # and a receiver is firmly bolted to the bumper (balls mounted through the bumper are not acceptable). Remember that the ball must be located at the correct height. 2)
Vehicle wiring A 7 pin RV style wiring connector is recommended as it will allow you to charge the trailer battery while you are under way. This will allow you to keep the refrigerator operating. For shorter trips, a 4 pin flat wiring connector will work. The refrigerator will operate from the trailer’s battery, but will wear it down quickly and it is not recommended that you operate it on propane while underway. If you come without the ability to safely tow the trailer with properly working lights, your reservation will be treated as a cancellation. Documentation 1)
A copy of the driver’s license for each driver 2) A
copy of your current proof of insurance, this is the form that is
supplied to you by the insurance company, to keep in your vehicle.
These can all be copied on the same piece of paper.
